Highlights: Chris Casebeer of SBART presents Special Olympic Athlete award to Bertha Jaramillo. Bertha is a long time SO Athlete and competes in Bowling and Track and Field. Coach Amanda Howard states that "Bertha is the bombshell of the bowling team and a person all her team mates look up to." Roger Battistone sponsors this monthly award. |
Highlights: The Round Table honored Steve Glick as the Santa Barbara Special Olympics Athlete of the Month. Glick pitches for the Santa Barbara softball team and coaches the team as well. He helped Santa Barbara to a second-place finish in the Fall Games this month. |
Highlights: Ashlee Chuda, an aquatics athlete, was selected as the Round Table Special Olympian of the Month for April. Her coach Leah Simpson said Chuda is a dedicated swimmer who has not missed a practice all season. She enters competition with a lot of enthusiasm and always listens to her coach's suggestions. |
